How To Properly Package

Proper packing is essential, in this hobby, if you want to have returning customers. These steps are crucial to ensure the safety of every book you send to a buyer. The following steps are a surefire method of the package surviving intact.

Step One: Gather everything you need. (Comic book(s), carbon bag, a sturdy mailer or a repurposed Gemini Mailer)

Step Two: Prepare the carbon bag.

Step Three: Prepare the item(s) you're selling.

Step Four: Wrap and seal the item(s) in the carbon bag. (The carbon bag will keep the contents dry)

Step Five: Use a sturdy mailer.

Step Six: Or repurpose a Gemini Mailer from a recent purchase.

This method will ensure the safe journey of your book(s) you sell. As an added measure, write 'Do Not Bend' or 'Do Not Fold' on the mailer, so the delivery driver is informed. Proper packing makes up 85% of one's reputation and the remaining 15% is the accurate description of the book(s) you sell and the time used to ship the package. This is all based off of personal experience. I hope this helps those that read this.

Coloring Projects (Color Therapy)

Randell’s Nerdy Things here…

Back into my coloring projects again, and honestly… this is still one of the best forms of therapy I know. πŸ–€

No noise.
No stress.
No doomscrolling.

Just music, markers, and getting completely lost in the details.

There’s something about sitting down with a piece like this—dark fantasy, skulls, heavy gothic vibes—and slowly bringing it to life that just resets your brain. It’s creative without pressure. Focused without being exhausting.

And yeah, people joke about “adult coloring books,” but anyone who actually does it knows:

This stuff is real mental health maintenance.

It helps me unplug, refocus, and recharge so I can jump back into comics, collecting, writing, and everything else with a clearer head.

Highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it. Sometimes you don’t need more content—you just need to create a little of your own.

Alias Keys Added To My Collection (Jessica Jones)

Randell’s Nerdy Things here…

After getting hooked (again) on Jessica Jones, I finally decided it was time to do something I’ve been meaning to do for years…

I added her first and second appearances to my collection. πŸ’œ

We’re talking about Alias #1 and #2 — the foundation of one of Marvel’s most grounded, human, and emotionally raw characters.

What makes these books special isn’t just the “key” status.

It’s the tone.

Alias didn’t play it safe.
It didn’t sugarcoat anything.
It treated Jessica like a real person dealing with real trauma, real mistakes, and real consequences.

And Bendis + Gaydos absolutely nailed it.

These covers alone tell you everything:
– Gritty
– Intimate
– Uncomfortable (in the right way)
– Honest

No spandex glamour. No fake heroics. Just storytelling.

Watching the show reminded me why Jessica Jones matters so much — and why these early issues deserve their respect in any serious collection.

Sometimes it takes revisiting a character on screen to remind you why you fell in love with them on the page.

This was one of those moments.

Proud to finally have these locked in. πŸ–€
