Seven Years Without Stan — The Legend Who Made Us Believe in Heroes ๐Ÿ•Š️

November 12th marks seven years since the world lost one of its greatest creative minds — Stan Lee. Even now, it feels strange typing that. It’s like saying the universe suddenly forgot how to dream for a second.

Stan didn’t just create characters — he built worlds. He gave us the X-Men, Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, Black Panther, and so many others who became our moral compasses, our comfort zones, and our reflections. He reminded us that “with great power comes great responsibility,” but he also showed us that being flawed doesn’t make you weak — it makes you human.

For a lot of us, his stories weren’t just entertainment. They were lifelines. They taught us to keep fighting, to stay weird, to embrace who we are — claws, web-shooters, gamma rage, and all.

I still remember hearing the news on November 12, 2018. The fandom world went quiet that day. My feed was full of memories, sketches, and “Excelsior!” tributes. But the truth is, Stan never really left. He’s in every movie cameo, every comic panel, every fan who ever picked up a pen or sculpted a dream.

His legacy isn’t measured by box office numbers or collectibles (though I proudly have plenty). It’s in the spark he left behind — the creative drive that made millions of us want to tell stories of our own.

So this November 12th, I’ll be re-reading Amazing Fantasy #15 and re-watching a few of those cameos that always hit right in the feels. Because legends don’t die. They live on in ink, pixels, and imagination.

Thank you, Stan. For everything.
Excelsior.
Randell
